Boss Mechanics

[edit | edit source]
  • Enrage: Below 55% HP, the Fire Lich enters an enraged state, hitting noticeably harder for the rest of the fight.
  • His default attack scatters small fireballs that leave behind Mystical Damage AOEs.
  • Fire Wall: Surrounds him with flame, punishing melee attackers with ongoing Mystical Damage and making him difficult to approach.
  • Fire Wave: Sends out two lines of fire in either a plus or x formation, dealing Mystical Damage over time to anything caught in them.
  • Big Fireball: A single large projectile that covers a wide area on impact, dealing Mystical Damage.

Strategy

[edit | edit source]

Fighting him up close means eating continuous damage from his Fire Wall, so ranged engagement is safer. His Fire Wave telegraphs in a plus or x pattern, so recognize the shape early to step clear of it, and give the Big Fireball's landing zone a wide berth since it covers considerable ground.
