Item Drops

Rolls 1-2 times per kill:

Boss Mechanics

  • Enrage: Below 55% HP, the Skeleton Pioneer enters an enraged state, hitting noticeably harder for the rest of the fight.
  • Weapon & Shield Swapping: He switches between two weapons: the Mace for Heavy Damage and the Sword for Quick Damage. He enters the fight without a shield equipped, but will pick one up mid-fight and swap between a Parry Shield (blocks Quick Damage) and a Wooden Shield (blocks Heavy Damage).
  • Stomp Attack: A jumping ground slam that deals Heavy Damage across the impact area.
  • Charge Attack: A straight-line dash dealing sustained Quick Damage, telegraphed only by a brief red glint that leaves little time to react.
  • Falling Stalactites: Stalactites drop around him periodically, each leaving a small Heavy Damage AOE.

Strategy

Keep an eye on which weapon he's holding: the Mace hits for Heavy damage while the Sword hits for Quick, and whichever shield he's carrying blocks the matching type. His Charge Attack gives only a quick red glint as warning, and stalactites will keep falling around him throughout the fight, so don't stand still for long.
