Level Bar Ingredients Base XP
1 Bronze Bar 1x Copper Ore + 1x Tin Ore 15
10 Iron Bar 2x Iron Ore 30
20 Steel Bar 1x Iron Ore + 1x Coal Ore 55
30 Mithril Bar 1x Mithril Ore + 2x Coal Ore 155
40 Silver Bar 7x Silver Ore 675
40 Gold Bar 8x Gold Ore or Gold Dust 800
60 Ebony Bar 7x Ebony Ore or Ebony Dust 1,800

Smelting a bar is only half the XP: crafting it into gear at the Anvil earns the bar's XP value again. See the Smithing Guide for the full Helmet/Platebody/Platelegs/Sword/Duskknight tables and profit-per-hour breakdowns.
