Boss Mechanics
[edit | edit source]- Enrage: Below 66.6% HP, The Burning King enters an enraged state, hitting noticeably harder for the rest of the fight.
- His basic swing cycles through three damage types signaled by swipe color: green for Quick, red for Heavy, and blue for Mystical.
- Charge Attack: A straight-line dash delivering ongoing Quick Damage to anything in its path.
- Stomp Attack: A leaping ground slam that deals Heavy Damage in an area around his landing point.
- Summon Minion: He retreats to a safe platform and calls in two or more Ashen Warriors, Mages, or Archers (scaling with player count), harassing the group with ranged attacks from a distance until his minions are dealt with.
- Fireball: A homing fireball that tracks the targeted player until it connects, dealing Mystical Damage.
- Fire Split: A fireball that bursts outward in every direction dealing Mystical Damage, while additional fireballs rain down at random during the same window.
- Throw Cannonball: A thrown cannonball dealing Heavy Damage on impact.
- Throw Stone Spike: A thrown stone spike dealing Quick Damage on impact.
Strategy
[edit | edit source]His swipe color calls out the incoming damage type before it lands: green for Quick, red for Heavy, and blue for Mystical. Read the color, not just the swing. A brief red glint gives away his Charge Attack. When he retreats to summon Ashen minions, prioritize clearing them quickly, since he stays at range peppering you until they're dead.
