== Best Early Money Method ==
Buying bars, smithing them into Helmets, and selling to a vendor is one of the best early-game gold methods: Helmets need fewer bars, sell for good vendor value, and don't require any Mining. Every other craftable (Platebody, Platelegs, Swords) actually loses gold at Bronze/Iron/Steel tier once the bar cost is factored in, since the bars cost more than the finished item sells for.

* Buy bars from a stall or another player → smith Helmets → sell to a vendor → repeat.
* Best returns: [[Bronze Helmet]] (~1,758g/hr), [[Iron Helmet]] (~8,514g/hr buying bars at Grave Town), [[Steel Helmet]] (~12,727g/hr).
* Everything else at these tiers trains XP but loses gold; only worth it for training if you can absorb the loss, or if you're smelting your own bars instead of buying them.
* Once you hit Smithing 30, switch to Mithril: every Mithril item is highly profitable, and the [[Mithril Sword]] is the best item in the guide for both XP and gold per hour.
